Words are still needed while Visual Aid is demanded!
There have been many questions surrounding the fourth estate, print journalism, and advertisement's economical results in society(decrease). Basically at the end of the day it sums down to old school vs. new school and even though the new school(generation x and y) are heavily immersed in technology and the internet usage where the term "free" seems to pop up a lot, we can not progress without traditional print or can we? I say we can but for those who grew up in a household where newspapers, magazines, etc; were essential in everyday life have to add and not forget or become lazy. In an age where everything is graphic, visual, interesting, and affordable comes a new creation of reading, writing, and visualizing stemming from traditional print's mark on society, media, and the world. With the growing increase of free news websites and blog-sites on the web the older generation who are forced to adapt seem to ask the question"'Are the newspaper, journalism, and reporting industries going to go out like the dinosaurs'?" That question is not something that I can answer personally but I can opinionate and say that even if the dinosaurs may become extinct we the next generation can learn from their fossils and evolve which brings me to this the futuristic answer "The Living Magazine."
